Thank you to each of you for joining Ponderosa's PTSA for the school year 2016/2017. Without your contributions we would not be able to meet our goals of providing needed items in our classrooms, scholarships for our seniors, after prom and teacher appreciation events.

​

We are currently recruiting help for several of our committees. In order to help you decide which committee you would be interested in working on please see a brief description of each committee below.

The Membership Committee is in charge of heading up membership drives within the Ponderosa community and seeking local business memberships. A significant portion of our operating funds come from membership donations and fees. We can't function without a robust membership. It is through our membership that the PTSA at Ponderosa will continue to thrive and we will be able to help make Ponderosa great.

The Scholarship Committee is new to our PTSA this year. As we continue to increase our membership numbers and fundraise we are now in a position to offer a local PTSA scholarship to four of our graduating PTSA member seniors. The Scholarship Committee will create the guidelines for awarding these scholarships, create the requirements for applicants, and counsel together to make the decision on which seniors win the scholarships.

 

The After Prom Committee is in charge of hosting a late night event following Prom where students can gather, whether they actually attend Prom or not, to enjoy an night together in a fun, wholesome environment. Whether or not you can be a part of planning After Prom, we hope you will consider volunteering the night of After Prom, as it takes many volunteers to actually run the event. (Update: After Prom will be held at the Boondocks in Parker next to Costco this year.)
