Mission of the PTSA

The mission of the PTA nationwide is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Our PTSA is to be a powerful voice for all children; a relevant resource for families and communities; a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

The Colorado PTA website (www.copta.org) is a wonderful resource for information regarding current issues facing our children. The website has an extensive section on health, wellness, and safety of children as well as ideas about advocating for our kids, positive family relationships, and even information about ongoing legislation affecting our children's education. Other resources include articles about suicide prevention, scientific literature reviews of marijuana-related health effects, e-cigarettes and vaping, technology talk, digital safety, as well as some lighter topics like smart snacks and healthy habits program.
